Grandtully


Grandtully, (pronounced Grant'ly) is a small village that caters well for visitors.

There is also a path over the hill to Pitlochry, making Grandtully one of the best connected locations for walking, cycling, and horse riding.


Things to do in the nearest towns

Aberfeldy is a 10 min drive away or you can walk or cycle it. It's 5/6 miles along the old railway line
In Aberfeldy you have 
Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery which is open throughout the year is nearby, and also Aberfeldy Watermill; a bookshop, café and gallery housed in a listed former watermill, walks in the Birks of AberfeldyBirks Cinema which is a small and uniquely beautiful cinema, learn about local wildlife at The Highland Safari and Red Deer Centre and of course there are a wealth of outdoor activities available at Beyond Adventure.

Pitlochry is about 16 minutes drive away, or you can walk it (it's quite hilly and will take a couple of hours each way). Pitlochry has a lot to offer on a day out. Pleases to visit include the Blair Atholl Distillery, the Pitlochry Dam and Visitor Centre also the wonderful Pitlochry Festival Theatre and Explorers Garden. As well as attractions Pitlochry has a lots of places to eat and drink (most with outside terraces) and there are a range of shops to visit from tourist gift shops, outdoor shops and quaint little ice cream shops like Scotch Corner.


Outdoor Adventures


You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to outdoor adventures. There are plenty of local activity providers who can take you canoeing, kayaking, white water rafting, abseiling, gorge walking, canyoning, or mountain biking. There are countless walking, running, and cycling routes nearby with the Tay Forest Park being so close by.

Then there's Beyond Adventure which is 10 mins away in Aberfeldy.

Nae Limits is 10 mins away.


Why not try some Packrafting with Packrafting Scotland. Packrafting is fast growing in popularity and is a unique and versatile way to explore the local area. 


If you struggle to get a guided session booked then you could go along to Pitlochry which is about 16-20 mins away to do something self guided. There is a place at the edge of Loch Faskally where you can rent  boats and paddle boards and self guide around the loch. It's beautiful there and they have a cute wee cafe and some lovely walks around Pitlochry.

If you're looking a bag a Munro or two, the closest one, Schiehallion which is 30 minutes away, also happens to be one of the easiest Munroes to climb! We are 15 miles from Cairngorms National Park and it takes about an hour to get to Glenshee Ski Centre.
